Hi!

Acrylics on canvas
Gyra - This name derives from the Old High German and Old Norse name “Godafrid and Guðifriðr”, composed of two elements: “*gudą” (god, deity, divine being) plus “*friþuz” (peace, tranquility, friendship). In turn the name means “God's peace, peaceful pledge, God gives me the peace of mind, my friendship with God”.

Apart from having formal training from the prestigious Art College, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishanth - College of FineArts and career accomplishments as a Graphic Designer over the past eleven years in various multinational companies, I have had wonderful opportunities in teaching, mentoring, and guiding school students from grades 01 to 10 in the field of art.

Some of the famous artists who inspire me and whose art I have tried are Mario Miranda, R. K. Laxman, Milind Mulick, Michelangelo, Vincent Van Gogh, etc. Apart from working on contemporary art, I am learning [as learning has no age limit] the rich art form - Mysore Traditional Art. My mentor has inturn learnt from her Guru, Sri Ramanarasaiah, who was an artist at Jagan Mohan Palace, Mysore. Whose works adorn the walls of palaces in Mysore. What is overwhelming was to touch the brushes that were used by these two great artist. Also, was able to see some of the original sketches and strokes of Sri. Ramanarasaiah Sir.

I have had the privilege to adapt various and effective designing and teaching techniques, which has allowed me to teach, share, and promote my creativity. Right now I have an opportunity in designing books for various organizations. Apart from art, like my profession, I have interests in photography and culinary art.

I hope you enjoy my colorful journey as much as I enjoyed splashing colors :)
Cheers!
